- Will our data stay in Canada?
- Yes. All Audcomp-managed cloud data is stored in Canadian data centers. That matters if you are subject to data residency obligations, or if you simply do not want client records sitting under another country's disclosure laws. It is worth confirming the same of any other cloud vendor you use.
- Can you migrate us without taking the business offline?
- That is the aim, and migrations are planned around it rather than hoping for the best. Work is sequenced so staff keep working while data moves, with a path back if something behaves unexpectedly. The detail depends on what you are running now and how much of it moves at once.
- What is the difference between Microsoft 365 and Azure?
- Microsoft 365 is the productivity side: email, Teams, SharePoint, the applications your staff open every day. Azure is infrastructure, where servers and workloads run. Most businesses start with Microsoft 365, then move server workloads to Azure later. They are often used together and managed as one environment.
- If we are on Microsoft 365, do we still need backup?
- Yes, and this surprises people. Microsoft keeps the service running; it does not guarantee recovery of data you delete, a departed employee's mailbox, or files encrypted by ransomware. Retention settings are not a backup. Audcomp provides encrypted Microsoft 365 backup with its own retention, separate from the tenancy.
- What is hybrid cloud, and do we need it?

- Will moving to the cloud cost more than what we run now?
